A multibillion-dollar industry responsible for seemingly half the advertising on television, beer would appear to be a natural subject, not to mention a marketable one. As Stephen Reverand, a vice president for development at the Discovery Channel, framed it recently, “The planet is divided into rice cultures and bread cultures, but everyone makes beer.”"
